Miss Universe 2012 is the 61st Miss Universe pageant, and was held on December 19, 2012, at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Olivia Culpo (born May 8, 1992) is an American beauty pageant representing her home state of Rhode Island. She previously won the 2012 Miss Rhode Island USA competition, which was the first pageant she entered. She currently attends Boston University.

Olivia Culpo brought the Miss Universe crown back to the United States for the first time in more than a decade.
